Little Spring Project to Brighten Your Home

Here is a little make over to share with you.
I am needing a little "BRIGHT" in my spring here in the North West. I will list all my supplies at the end.
(Please try to not notice the mess and bins, getting ready for Junk Salvation Show next month)

Start with one unfortunate looking bunny. He had blue and pink raffia with silk roses around his neck. I removed that before the light bulb came on and said "blog project opportunity" .

A little of this
and....

That...

Then, staying true to my inner southern girl.....
I needed more glitter. so I rummaged in the glitter bin and found Martha's glitter, shown here. It added the perfect texture.
(I actually borrowed this from V in the winter, sorry V. I will return it promptly.)

A little new Dressing and my bunny is fabulous!

I keep this crepe paper ruffled and ready. I get very little time to make things (Gorgeous hubby, house remodel, 3 teen aged daughters, 2 dogs, 1 cat, new business...need I say more?)
I think having things ready to use makes it more fun to be creative.
I added circles cut from book pages to make a rosette.
V makes these amazing book nests and she cuts holes in books so she gives me her circles (that sounds funny, you know what I mean) and I use them on EVERYTHING.

He has a new home on the side board in our family room. I think he is perfect to help us welcome spring into our home.

  • PAPER MACHE BUNNY USED OR NEW (mine was used)
  • 3M SPRAY ADHESIVE (non-yellowing)
  • MICA, GLITTER, ANYTHING SPARKLY
  • CREPE PAPER RUFFLED FOR COLLAR
  • CIRCLES OF VINTAGE PAPER (I used book pages but music paper would be cute also)
  • HOT GLUE (to attach collar)
  • PERFECT SPOT TO PLACE YOUR NEW SPRING TIME FRIEND!
I hope you enjoyed this little project and it makes you want to go searching for some projects of your own.
We would love to hear about them and see what you created.

Happy spring blog friends!
