Wake up Sleeping Beauties

If any of you are living in the Pacific North West
then you know our spring hasn't quite gotten started yet.
It's my favorite time of year, you see. I love watching all my sleeping beauties come to life.
I get clippings from neighbors and friends, more than going to the nursery to purchase.
I do a little every spring/summer and I am rewarded each year with the glorious sights and smells of the garden. I am by no means a master gardener...I follow advice and directions very well....

My daughter Allison (Alligator) volunteered to go cut these beauties.....

She cut enough for TWO beautiful bouquets and enough to take to a couple friends....
Sharing the pure joy that lilacs bring, nothing can compare....

I especially like them in the entry way,
what a welcome to friends and family they make......

We were blessed by the previous owner by inheriting 17 of these lovelies...
They were her favorite flower...
They line the front porch and the entire back of our house....

There are several new little tree's coming up all around he bases of these....
If anyone knows how to root these and make new tree's I would love to know...
I have tried a few times, it hasn't worked for me....
I want to share, so please hhhheeeelllppp!

I had to share this new little vignette....
I bought these little blocks at the "Junk Salvation" flea market,
from V. She had all the letters to spell my last name...
I really like the whole idea of monogramming
and making our homes very personal to our families....

here's a little look at one of my containers on the front porch....
The iron table was purchased at the "Exhibitors boutique" a few years ago, and
the yellow crate came from the surplus that is no longer there. sad day...
I love to plant daffodils in it...
I have a purple and white theme in my gardens....
BUT, I pick a new accent color every year to put with these in the spring/summer....
This year is YELLOW....
My porch is an extension of my home, So as soon as weather gets nice enough
I.....DECORATE IT! it's what I do. (if it sits still, I will decorate it).....

This gorgeous watering can was the sweetest house warming gift when we bought our home 3 years ago...from a coworker....
I love this little watering can...
I need to add some purple to it this year....

I haven't finished this side of the garden yet....but the planter is a little touch...
thinking a spiral topiary on each side and a trellis planted with blue potato vine...
the blue is actually purple...
one warning... potato vine is a very fast grower so put it some where there is alot of room to roam...
I will share pictures of that time....

This was last year, this basket now belongs to a vintage bike........
and the chairs are now black.....
sweetest little planter is in my home now, with a baby ivy,
it was made by a friend who sells them at a local boutique....

 This is my spring wreath...
I am a traditional southern girl and Home is where you hang your seasonal wreath.....

I hope you enjoyed the garden tour....

 also....
I have plants all through my home, living plants...
Did you know that 6 plants in 6" pots in each room will filter the air in your home
as well as an expensive air purifier....
I have terrible allergies, so do my girlies...
I have air filters in the bed rooms but in our main living areas I have plants...
no green thumb? there are tons of user friendly plants... ask in the plant department at any store they will help you find one that will work for you...

Show Pictures round Two

So I showed you what the center piece of our display looked like for Friday night.....

And here's how it looked for Saturday....

The white table is still in this picture because the lady that bought the table hadn't picked it up yet....

she took the chairs Friday night....

There were a lot of  bird cages.....

This beauty was made by Victoria.....

That is a real bird's nest in there. I was there when she and her hubby found it on their property...

Okay, now we are getting to my favorite part......

Wait for it.......

Hear the drum roll?

TADAH!!!!! I love this display...

I used this image on another pillow once before...it's a relative of mine (for real) and I call him
"VINTAGE BEEFCAKE"

Victoria and I had so much fun....
but.....
V and I have decided to hold off on shows for a bit...

We are working diligently on our own shop and look forward to devoting all our creative energy on getting  that place open by this winter...
So, with that I will leave you with this picture.....

We are ready for a new concrete floor and onto Framing after that....

Finally! Show Pcitures

V and I enjoyed this show so much.....
And What a joy to meet people that follow our blog.
It has inspired me more than you know....

People always say that our houses must be so beautiful....
ha, this is how our houses look before shows....
all my treasures are waiting for the "Mr nest's" to load.....
From this angle it all looks relatively organized....

OK, now you are seeing the chaos of it all.....

My Girlies couldn't even get out to go to school....

and from that craziness to this ...
here's our cozy corner.....
couldn't keep people out of these chairs....
these chairs are beautiful....one of my favorites

This cake stand is phenomenal, V designed it out of an old vintage lamp base.....
I think this would be the most beautiful dessert stand for a wedding buffet table....

One of the things V and I like to do at shows is put up a center piece attraction...
Something that grabs you by the knickers....
This statue in the bird cage was definitely our "WOW" factor...

Unfortunately, when you make an irresistible center piece it usually goes pretty fast....
And this one did, right down to the table and chairs....
the "Mr Nests" we very pleased to not have to load these back up on Saturday......And the ladies who got these treasures were smitten from the first look.... Seeing people fall in love with our designs and creations is the best kind of payment... it's what makes us do it all over again....

there will be more pictures next time... I will share my favorite part of our set up!
